Senior IT Executive - Application Support

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve functional and technical problems & business critical incidents through research and analysis of trends, root causes and business impact
  • Maintain a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process & techniques
  • Work with business units to agree on Application release scope
  • Liaise and coordinate all other IT sections to ensure problem resolutions on a timely basis
  • Track and monitor application issues from creation to resolution of issues
  • Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Test (UAT)
  • Exercise perspective of bridging technical skills and business requirements in resolving problems 
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Knowledge on Unix/Linux would be an added advantage
  • Skill(s): backup tape library, Data Centre Administration, basic network knowledge, TCP/IP, VPN, IPS, MIS
  • At least 3 years in application support or development skills and experience
  • Able to work under pressure and with sense of urgency
  • Tasks and time organized
  • Responsible and committed to work
  • Good verbal & written English
  • Good analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, resourceful, results-oriented & willing to go the extra mile
  • Creative and able to establish workaround for application issues that cause show-stoppers
  • A team player
